The water tank is a transparent part at the back of the machine. It can be removed from the machine for easy refilling.
The water tank holds 3.72 liters of water when filled to 2 cm from the top. This is enough for almost 25 servings of 150 milliliters.
The water tank has a lid to make sure that dust cannot enter the water. The lid of the water tank can hinge open to allow water to be added. To make sure that the lid stays open by itself, the shape of the cutout uses a slightly larger angle than 90°. This puts the angle of the opened lid slightly back so gravity pull the lid open.
To allow water to flow from the water tank to the machine, a valve connects the back plate of the machine and the tank. This mechanism also ensures that no water can flow out when the water tank is removed. This means the consumer can refill the water tank even if it is not completely empty yet.
