The machine is fitted with multiple sensors. These ensure that the machine is not used incorrectly. They also improve the operational safety of the machine.
Lid closed sensor
Lid closed sensor
This sensor checks if the lid is closed. It is a simple switch. A pin in the lid that pushes the switch when closed. The machine will not start making coffee if the lid is not closed. This improves the safety of the machine by making sure hot water cannot escape the machine through the needle in the lid.
Water level sensor
Water level sensor
A water level sensor measures the pressure of water coming from the water tank. If the pressure is too low that means the water level is too low and the machine will not start. This sensor also allows the machine to turn itself off if the user takes the water tank off while the machine is running.
